Your salesperson’s first goal is to help determine what home is right for you, so even with all of their knowledge, they will be asking a lot of detailed questions. Their goal is to learn about you and your needs, so they can provide guide you toward your dream home.
Basic questions, such as the number of bedrooms, bathrooms and garage size are important. But, just as meaningful are all the ways you will live in your new space, your lifestyle and how you see yourself in your new home. Your new home salesperson will get to know you so that together, you can find a home that is truly Designed for Your Life.
Tip: Before your appointment, write down all of the features you would love in your new home. Don’t limit your list to beds and baths. Do you love to entertain? Would you like a large space for your kids to play indoors? Would a large covered patio fit your lifestyle? Thinking of how you envision your family in your new home is a valuable first step.
Take Pictures and Notes
A model home showcases just one of the several floor plans that are offered within the neighborhood. Take pictures Facebook and Instagram so you can remember styles that you like, room configurations that are perfect for you and décor that inspires you. Your salesperson can even take you out to see some of our quick move-in homes, if available, so you can tour additional floor plans. Write down notes, so you’ll remember what you love!
Tip: Builder websites that feature a gallery can offer tons of inspiration, all in one convenient spot!

Your Salesperson will show you a lot map, with all the available lots in the neighborhood. Whether you wish to have your home face a particular direction, want to be close to an amenity center or prefer an oversized yard or view, your Salesperson can find the lot that best fits your wants and needs.
In the Neighborhood
After your tour, drive the neighborhood and surrounding area to get a feel for the location. How far are schools? Grocery stores? What is the best route for your commute to work? They’ll help you explore the recreation, shopping, dining and entertainment options that will be part of your new life.
